Any disposable that sells well gets copied, and Penjamin is no exception. A fake Penjamin can look close at a glance, so here is a simple six-point checklist to run on any pen before you use it.
1. Read the card
The 2G blister card lists the specs on the back: discreet cap, liquid diamonds, high-flow coil, rechargeable battery, USB-C port and 2G liquid diamonds (0.7 oz) on a 5 count card. Blurry printing, spelling mistakes, missing specs or a card that does not match our product photos are warning signs.
2. Check the flavor name
Compare the flavor against the real lineup. The 2G has ten flavors, the 0.5G has eight, and the NPL Edition has exactly 32. A flavor that is not on any list, or a misspelled name, should make you stop. Our Penjamin Flavors page lists every one.
3. Look at the cap and clip
The cap should seat firmly and the pocket clip should be straight and molded cleanly. NPL Edition caps come in four colors only: blue, black, white and red. A loose, rough or oddly colored cap is a red flag.
4. Inspect the barrel label
The flavor and format are printed along the barrel. Check that the print is sharp, straight and matches the flavor on the pack. A sticker that peels or a label that is crooked is worth a second look.
5. Be careful with the price
Know the usual range: NPL Edition pens are $15, 2G pens are $18 and 0.5G pens are $25 each. In bulk, the lowest 2G price is $6 a piece at 1,000. A single pen offered far below those numbers is unlikely to be the real thing.
6. Know where it came from
Buy from a seller who shows clear product photos, lists every flavor and answers questions. If something looks off when your order arrives, do not use it: message us with photos and your order number, and see the Refund Policy.
